Prototyping a Physics-Driven Social System

This venture involved testing a new gameplay structure where social interactions between AI characters were governed by simplified physical laws of attraction and repulsion. The goal was to create organic crowd behaviors and relationship dynamics. Initial system prototyping resulted in chaotic but strangely patterned formations.

Subsequent iterative game experiments introduced personality "mass" and event-based "forces" to simulate social bonds and conflicts. We observed emergent alliances and feuds that were not explicitly programmed. The experimental gameplay system began to generate believable social vignettes.

Refinement focused on adding layers of interpretable feedback for the player, making the invisible social forces somewhat legible. This allowed players to anticipate and indirectly influence the system. The prototype stands as a study in abstracting complex social dynamics into interactive rules.
